Kickin' It in the Park for NF
Saturday, May 18th - Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls
Please join us at the Main Pavillion at Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls, WI on May 18th, 2024.
Registration will begin at 10 AM. We look forward to seeing you all then. Please stay well and safe.
"Kickin it in the Park for NF" is a fun filled family event that is organized by local families to bring awareness and funding to fight Neurofibromatosis; a genetic disorder affecting approximately one in every 2,500-3,000 births that currently has no cure.
This years walk will be hosted by Alex of WAXX 104.5's Morning show! For this walk you can form a team or walk as an individual. You can dress in costumes or come as you are!
The families that are putting on this walk have organized a walk in the area the last four years under the auspices of another organization. Not seeing the money raised helping this area as they thought it should, they chose to start their own non-profit organization Neurofibromatosis First Inc (NF First for short). Run by a volunteer board, NF First does not pay any salaries to ensure that all funds stay local to raise awareness, educate the community and local medical professionals, as well as striving for a cure, while supporting affected families"
The walk takes place in beautiful Irvine Park starting at the Main Pavilion. We have a 1 mile handicap accessible walk as well as a 3-mile loop. After the walk join us for a delicious lunch (included in your registration) and a chance to win some cool prizes.
